Dr. Christina Copeman, (H)BSc., OD

• Dr. Christina Copeman has been practicing in our office since 2003; initially starting as a student and in the summer of 2008, joined our team as an associate Optometrist
  
• She is a native of London, Ontario, who graduated from the University of Western Ontario, with a Bachelor of Science (Biology) degree, specializing in Biochemistry
  
• Dr. Copeman continued her studies at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with honours and received the COVD Award for Excellence in Vision Therapy
  
• She enjoys all areas of optometry from contact lenses and laser vision correction to examinations for children and ocular disease management
  

Dr. Desirée Istifan, (H)BSc., OD

• Dr. Desirée Istifan is a graduate of the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario
  
• She was born and raised in London, Ontario, and is happy to have returned to the city to practice
  
• Her clinical interests include children's vision care and ocular disease management
  
• Outside of the office she enjoys snowboarding, and spending time with friends, family, and her dog Milo. She looks forward to providing excellent vision care to you and your family for years to come
  

Dr. David Lawrence, (H)BSc., OD

• Dr. David Lawrence graduated with distinction and summa cum laude from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Pharmacology in 1997 and then graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2001
  
• Currently he is working towards his Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry and is excited to be part of the Optometric practice of Van Ymeren, Townshend, Lawrence and Associates
  
• Dr. Lawrence has a special interest in pediatrics, binocular vision disorders and specialty contact lens fittings
  
• Dr. Lawrence is a native of London, Ontario, and is pleased to have the opportunity to serve and assist the community. In his spare time he enjoys running, hockey, theatre and traveling
  

Dr. Harry Van Ymeren, OD, FAAO

• Dr. Harry Van Ymeren graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1985. In 1988, he was named a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry
  
• Since graduation, Dr. Van Ymeren has remained in private practice and has a special interest in contact lenses
  
• Dr. Van Ymeren is the current President of the London and Area Association of Optometrists
  
• Throughout his career he has been involved in numerous contact studies as well as served on advisory panels for various contact lens manufacturers
  
• Harry is husband to Sandra and is the father of two sons, Nathan and Adam. His outside interests include golf, curling as well as canoeing

Dr. Suzanne Moore, (H)BSc., OD

• Dr. Suzanne Moore graduated from the University of Waterloo with her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (Co-operative) in 1998 and then graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2002
  
• In 2005, Dr. Moore moved from Nova Scotia to Ontario and joined the London practice; she is thrilled to be part of such a great team of doctors and supportive staff
  
• She provides patients with primary eye care and contact lenses (standard, specialty and keratoconic), as well as pre/post-operative care for refractive laser eye surgery
  
• Dr. Moore is accepting new patients of all ages, including children and contact lens wearers. She looks forward to providing continued eye care to you and your family

Dr. Stacey Townshend, (H)BSc., OD, FAAO

• Dr. Stacey Townshend graduated with distinction from the Michigan College of Optometry and has completed a series of National Board Examinations for licensure in the United States as well as obtaining her Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry (Primary Care) in 1998
  
• Dr. Townshend has been a member of the Optometric practice of Van Ymeren, Townshend, Lawrence and Associates since her graduation in 1993 and became a partner in 1997
  
• She has served on a number of committees with the Ontario College of Optometrists over the last ten years and has lectured within the London community through a number of local organizations
  
• Professional interests include ocular health and pathology, contact lenses and primary/family optometric care
  
• Stacey is the mother of Tyne, Seth and Samuel and is wife to Todd. Personal interests include travel, tennis, golf and gardening

Gillian Newland, (H)BA. RO

• Born and raised in St. Catherines, Ontario, Gillian moved to London to attend the University of Western Ontario where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and Music Education
  
• Soon after she continued her education at Georgian College where she studied Opticianry
  
• Gillian has been a licensed Optician since 2000 and joined the team at Van Ymeren, Townshend, Lawrence and Associates in 2005
